Inspite of It All

Change has come to our nation and to the Executive Board of NCASAM as I take over as NCASAM President for 2009. As you can see from the calendar on the HOME page, we continue to provide our membership with the nation's top speakers, with topics relevant to the small animal practitioner. Our nation is officially in a recession which is 2 consecutive quarters of negative GNP. As practitioners, some of whom have never practiced in a recessionary period, we must look for ways to serve our clients better. Pets are being relinquished to shelters as some owners face job loss, downsizing and foreclosures. Taxes will go up and health care costs will continue to rise. Inspite of it all, the Executive Board will continue to volunteer to provide our members with the best in service, continuing education, lowest possible costs and web support. So keep our membership strong and invite a colleague to join us.
